Happy Fourth Day of Julius's Month

Long time no update, anyways with July comes a new Update Schedule for monocled. Like the Matrix's Spoon there is no schedule. This basically means that comics will come up whenever we have fresh new material that is potentially funny. I'll try to get at least one comic up every week, but there are no guarantees. On another note my Tablet is working really well and so far has increased my productivity 1000% Not quite sure what Michael or Andrew are gonna do, so I guess you'll see them whenever they get around to paying attention to monocled. More updates later!

Welcome to Paint Week!

Since Andrew somehow fails at computers and is getting owned by Vista all over the place, we've started a Paint Week. All comics for the next seven days will be made in MS Paint. This should be interesting... I hope you enjoy it, and stay tuned for more laughs and website additions.

Database Woes

I'm not a big fan of MySQL. It still seems foreign, and I feel like I don't have a lot of control over it. It's almost as if I'm afraid of it.

Anyway, the last two comics are out of order, yes, but I should be fixing that soon so go ahead and get your panties out of a twist and start breathing again. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will get my buttcrack pants on and start plumbing the back-end of the website.

News Ramble for March

Hello all, so today marks the official beginning to a side project which is taking place on Cat_Server_Online . I have deemed this webcomic "Once Upon a Couch." this new comic will start by coming out once a week and will, for the most part, be a journal comic. Journal comic includes, but is not limited to, Real life, D&D, Video Games, IT, and much more. The day for updates will be on Mondays and will probably change as the readers increases. In other news, work on the first few monocled games is progressing quite well. Work on level design in Shrooms is currently taking longer than expected but is going smoothly. The Adventures of Traction Jackson actually will not be coming out for a while being that, well, I currently dropped the project. But there is another game of which i designed the engine and it will be finished by the end of the month, it is called Zombiez and the only thing keeping it from completion is the animation, which I am slowly working on. Yes, I am lazy, which is why I'm giving myself until the end of the month to complete it. Anyways, expect new content to come out in the next month! Kyle, Over and out. P.S. At this point Catserver's Webmaster is being lazy so the comics might not be quite up yet. Next update is on Monday!

Global Guest Comic 1

Today marks the dawn of a new age in the world of Monocled. The first legit guest comic was posted today. Follow Taversia's footsteps and make a comic yourself! Tell your friends about monocled and get them to upload comics as well! Note that Andrew, Kyle, and I don't intend for guests to replace our comics. If we ever do get a constant flow of guest comics, we will just upload them in masses while our comics go daily.

Any doubt that the uploader actually works and isn't just a spam machine should be gone now. I like to think that fear is what has been keeping the uploader dry. As of now there have only been three uploads, and only one was an actual comic. That means there has been 300% more spam than comics! Hopefully this statistic is premature and won't prove to be consistent.

Huston... We Have An Uploader

It took a whole lot of work and mild sleep deprivation, but it is finished! The Monocled guest comic uploader and entire on site guest comic system has been uploaded today. I'm sure it will be changing slightly for the next few days as I find more things I don't like about it, but for now, it is golden.

All you need to do is supply an email address for us to contact you at, a name you want to be referred to as, the title of your comic, the rollover comment for your comic, and of course the image file itself.

For a web design noob like me, I feel that the uploader is pretty advanced. It's no AJAX magic, but it remembers everything you put in the fields so you won't have to retype anything if the uploader spits an error at you. The uploader knows the filesize, dimensions, file extension, and everything about your image which should help spam.

I could talk at you some more, but instead I'll let you all be free. Now go make some comics!!

Reformatation problems

I just thought that I would take the time to apologize for reformatting my computer and thus having to create a comic in the god forsaken paint. You will notice however that the arms are too short for a normal human. Well its not my fault, its all paints fault, so if you want to blame anyone, blame paint. Everything should be back to normal as flash is now reinstalled on my computer, thank the Gods of Gaming. I bid ye fairwell Kyle

Game Time

Time and Effect and Guest Week!

Today the fourth and final part of the Time and Effect miniseries was uploaded. I hope you regulars have been enjoying it! It has kind of evolved as I made the parts. This fourth part wasn't even planned until I was almost done making the third one, and even then it was just an idea. All I really did was type what came to mind. I think it worked out though.

In other news, Kyle, Andrew and I are all excited about guest week! Seven comics, seven days. We got seven people to make us guest comics and from Monday to Sunday you will see them. Is this a cheap excuse for us to be lazy and not make comics for awhile? Well maybe, but it's more than that. We like to give other people a chance to express themselves, and this is one way they can do that.

So, I'm posting my first update, kinda taking a break fixing my sisters computer rather than playing Mass Effect which is a kick ass game, but since i have beaten it one i feel that i will free up a little bit more time to work with flash and crank out some more comics and maybe start a couple of shorts, any ways, just saying hi, and if you have the option don't offer to help your sister with her computer she will most likely not give a damn that you were trying to help her as she complains in your ear. later

Welcome to the vWeb of Monocled.com. Vweb meaning virtual-web (yes the web is already virtual but this is a website inside a website so if a normal website is virtual to us then the vWeb is virtual to monocled). Here you will find all the juicy insider information about what's happening on the site plus a lot of crap we felt like throwing on the site because we can. The site is run by three guys (Kyle, Andrew, and Michael) with not a whole lot better to do other than calculus homework, which no one would want to do anyway. We're all computer nerds (and geeks in special cases) located in Oregon currently doing what we do best: that is masking our intellect with incessant stupid behavior. Sure I made this website from the ground up learning everything as I went, but that doesn't mean I won't be the one screaming animal sounds in public. Now I'm just rambling; check out the features the vWeb has, read all our comics, digg your favorite, and come back tomorrow for another comic.
